What is Japanese Needle Therapy?
Japanese Needle Therapy is originated from acupuncture practised in Japan. This modality, delivered by Yoshie, contains classical meridian therapy and contemporary medical aspects as taught in Japan and the study of "skin kinesiology".
Who should learn this course?
This 2 day certification course is aimed to equip students with knowledge and hands-on skills.
This course content is based on Yoshie's 20 years of experience and experienced practitioners will also gain valuable new knowledge and techniques.
Super small class up to 10 students in a class
Because each class only accepts 4 students, you will learn Japanese Needle Therapy under thorough personal guidance allowing you to begin practice with confidence after just 2 days of hands on training.
To further build confidence (even if competent), you can request follow-up training session/s after consultation with Yoshie.
Duration: 2 days
CPE points available e.g. MMA 20 points, ANTA 12 points, ATMS* 12 points
(For ATMS 6 points with extra 6 points with a submission of a learning summary)

Prerequisite: Any of:
3 years Japanese acupuncture course graduation certificate, Diploma of Shiatsu & Oriental Therapies, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) or equivalent
The content:
Day 1
1) Theory
a. What is Japanese Needle Therapy and its session?
b. Contraindications of practice
c. Anatomy, physiology and meridian system for Japanese Needle Therapy practitioners
d. Pulse & Hara Diagnosis
e. Observation/palpation
f. Intervention/treatment: Root treatment
g. Intervention/treatment: Kikei treatment
h. Intervention/treatment: Local/partial treatment for common issues
i. Evaluation
j. Communication with clients (Psychology) to find root causes
2) Preparation
a. Set up environment for a session
b. Diagnosis/Observation/Intervention/Evaluation
c. Body mechanics for bringing ki energy effectively
d. Required tools for Japanese Needle Therapy
3) Practice
a) Methods and techniques of Japanese Needle Therapy according to the tool/needle
b) Overall procedures of a Japanese Needle Therapy session: diagnosis to evaluation
c) Closing a session, Q & As, Quiz
Day 2
4) Review Day 1 and practice
5) Needling business and PI insurance
6) Competency assessment: providing a 60 min Japanese Needle Therapy session
7) Presentation of Certificate

The number of student contact hours: 12 hours
The assessments/requirements each student must complete in order to receive certification: 80% of a set of quiz at the end of Day 1, Competency Assessment of a full 60min session at the end of Day 2

Bachelor of Arts Human Sciences (Waseda Univ, Japan), Anma, Shiatsu and Massage and Acupuncture course graduation certificate (Hanada College, Tokyo Japan), AHPRA Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Toyohari (East Asian Needle Therapy) 3 years course diploma, Certificate IV in Aromatherapy (ACNT), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (RMIT), Diploma of Nursing (ACU), Master T&I (RMIT)
Refund policy:
Course fees are non-refundable unless written cancellation notice is received 14 days prior to course commencement.
Please note deposit ($100) is required to secure your place and this is non-refundable.
A refund of 80% of course fees will be given if an enrolment is cancelled more than 14 days prior to commencement of the course.
No refund of fees will be given if an enrolment is cancelled within 14 days of course commencement.
If the course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will apply.
